Good Grief – NALAC Grant Awarded

Good Grief - Immersive Wellness Fair and Performance debuting in December at Free Street

“Good Grief” by Melissa DuPrey produced at Free Street Theater

To support the ongoing investigation of the mental health disparities in communities of color. In the solo show “Good Grief”, critically-acclaimed actor and comic, Melissa DuPrey, seeks to break the stigma of seeking mental health support in order to process trauma that perpetuates violence in communities of color. Using her skills as a stand-up comic and her experiences in dealing with her mother with mental illness, DuPrey will create a piece that advocates for healing of individuals and whole communities inter-generationally. Free Street Theater will produce this work in the fall of 2019.
